Cubed Steak w/ Onions & Mushrooms

Directions: 

STEP 1: Prepare the Steaks:

  • Season cube steaks with salt and pepper.
  • Dip each steak in beaten eggs, then coat with bread crumbs.
  • Heat a skillet with oil and cook steaks for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

STEP 2: Make the Gravy:

  • In the same skillet, add butter, onions, and mushrooms. Sauté until soft.
  • Sprinkle in flour, stir, and cook for a minute.
  • Slowly add beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Let simmer until thickened.

 STEP 3: Cook the Egg Noodles:

  • Boil noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

STEP 4: Combine & Serve:

  • Add the steaks back into the gravy and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Serve over egg noodles and enjoy!

  • 1 cup mushrooms (sliced)
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
